Oct. 21st, 2012 09:29 pmPairing: Shizaya
Prompt: Pashmina Scarves and Gentle Kisses
Shizuo and Izaya have put aside their differences. Izaya has left his life of crime, and Shizuo has left his life of anger. As a symbolic gesture, one of them - author's choice - gifts the other with a pink pashmina scarf. For a "softer, gentler world" between them.
"Here." There was a slight blush tinting Shizuo's cheeks as he thrust a delicately wrapped package into Izaya's hands. Although it had been a few weeks since he had moved in with the ex-informant--his penthouse apartment was the obvious choice when the matter of moving in together was discussed--he was still embarrassed by even the smallest romantic gesture, especially one initiated on his part.
"Oh?" If Izaya had been at all surprised, he wasn't showing it; he just maintained his usual look of mild amusement. "What's this, Shizu-chan?" Shizuo turned away; it was strange to think that that particular nickname had only until recently inspired rage and annoyance. "Just open it, already." He mumbled, the red tint gracing his cheeks deepening.
"Fine, fine." Izaya laughed as he opened the wrapping, exposing a fine pashmina scarf. "Pink?" He asked, picking it up and examining it. "Yeah." Shizuo said, still not looking at him. "I thought it might look good on you." He had no way of knowing what his partner was doing; he still refused to turn back around and look at him. Even this much was too embarrassing.
"Hey, Shizu-chan."
"Wh-what is--" His question was interrupted as he felt lips press against his, gently. "Thanks" Izaya purred, before pulling him in again.
